In 2008  Alan Whitehead As our Test MP he helped to draft the Climate Change Act of 2008 and he has been a champion for renewable and community energy in Labour’s national Manifesto ever since.
Labour is committed to a target of being carbon-neutral by 2050, however we have gone further and are aiming to be be Carbon Neutral by 2030
In 2017 Councillor Christopher Hammond  for Woolston introduced a motion in the City Council declaring a climate emergency
In 2018 Labour consulted all residents about a Clean Air Strategy
In 2019 Labour Launches its Vision for a comprehensive strategy for a Green City .
Our target—to be carbon neutral in the city by 2030 can only be achieved if we all work together .
