Youth and Student

Southampton has two Labour student societies: Southampton University Labour Club and Southampton Solent University Labour Club.

Both offer the opportunity to campaign in the city. Joining them is a good way of meeting young like-minded people.

Southampton University Labour Club in the past has run events with Alan Johnson, Peter Hain, Harriet Harman, John McDonnel, Alan Whitehead, John Denham and South East Labour MEP Peter Skinner. Sent delegations to Annual Conference, Youth Conference, Labour Students' Council and the National Policy Forum and for the past four years we've also had members elected onto national Labour Student committees. The society is the most politically active at the University and has regular events. If you'd like to get involved you can email us at labour@soton.ac.uk or Click here to join our Facebook group!

Southampton Solent Labour Club is relativly new, but is equally active in local political campaigning. To get involved you can email farooqlaw@gmail.com or Click here to join our facebook group!

Membership for students only £1 a year.
